What: Artisans compete for cash prizes, as they carve more than 20,000 pounds of ice into life-size ballerinas, skiers and bicyclists at Dowagiac Ice Time 2012 on Saturday, February 4. Watch timber and wood carvers. Gather ‘round the campfire and indulge yourself with warm and chocolaty S’mores and enjoy our smokin’ good BBQ. Sample southwestern Michigan’s spiciest chili during the professional cook-off or visit the ice-carved soda foundtain, where Caruso’s Candy Kitchen serves ice cream. Be sure to arrive early for the Winter Hibernation Sale. Shopkeepers, who open their doors before dawn, award deep discounts to patrons still dressed in their warm jammies.
