What: Come Enjoy "The Four Seasons of South Haven" Ice Breaker 2012 - February 3,4 & 5 Be a Sponsor! The Lake Michigan resort community of South Haven will heat up on February 3, 4 & 5, 2012 as it celebrates the annual Ice Breaker festival. A major focus of the event is the sculpting of more than 50 blocks of ice, weighing 300 pounds each, into dazzling displays themed by “The Four Seasons of South Haven”. The Ice Carving competition has three divisions - professional, amateur, and student. Ice Carving Competition Registration Form 2012. So how does this cool community heat up in the midst of winter during an Ice Breaker? The answer is, by hosting two chili cook-offs. The Professional Chili Cook-Off provides downtown South Haven restaurants the opportunity to vie for the coveted “Con Carne Trophy” and an Amateur Chili Cook-Off allows local and regional chili connoisseurs to prepare their best recipe for sampling by the public and for jurying by the judges. Entry is open to all who are interested, so put your chili to the test and contact Linda Olsen with We Care, INC at 269-637-4342 for an application.
