Women With Heart~Rock concert
What: The Women With Heart~Rock! Concert--February 4th 8pm at The Livery in Benton Harbor Mi-- The Women With Heart~Rock Concert was established by Char Jones in honor of her mom, Ella Jones, who passed away in February 1992, from a form of cardiomiopathy. Her mother was a driving force in her love of music and encouraged her to follow her dreams. Her sisters in music and spirit performing that evening with her will be... recording artists Bonita Mitchell, Venitia Sekema, Karine, and Dawn Yarbrough. These wonderful women altogether on one stage will be a force to be reckoned with!! The vocal stylings range from powerhouse, to smooth and silky, cabaret, jazz, gospel and much more. They will be backed by a wonderful band... Marcus Robinson (Marcus Robinson Music) on guitar, Will Jones (Char's drummer) on drums, Johnnie Edwards (Edwards & Company) on Bass and Steve Parker on keyboard!! The emcee that evening will be the lovely Beth Haire-Lewis. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association ~ Go Red for Women and a donation will be made to the Benton Harbor Girls Academy. Ticket prices are as followed: Reserved seating $15.00 and General Admission is $10.00. You may contact The Livery for ticket information.
