Fossils of the Michigan Basin
What: Join PaleoJoe, Joseph Kchodl, for an afternoon of learning about fossils. Learn Michigan’s geologic history, the plant and animals who have lived here, what fossils can be found in Michigan and how you can become a fossil finder. PaleoJoe’s display FOSSILS OF THE MICHIGAN BASIN will be on display April 4 through June 27 in the Norris classroom. Exhibit curator “PaleoJoe” is a dinosaur hunter, author and storyteller. Michigan was once the bottom of a salt water tropical sea and this exhibit consists of crinoids, brachiopods, cephalopods, corals, bryozoans, and trilobites that once inhabited these ancient seas. A must see for anyone interested in fossils. Thanks to the St. Deny’s Foundation for their support of this traveling educational exhibit and program. Please call 269-927-4832 to register.
